Step by Step Preparation:
This is the full ingredients list:
Step 1: Take minced mutton 500 gms in a bowl or plate and start adding all the spices one by one.
Firstly, add finely chopped onions, I have taken one small size onion for this recipe.
Add green chillies, now this totally depends upon your taste. We like our koftas or meat balls little spicy you can adjust the green chillies as per your taste.
Coriander leaves is totally optional, there are people who doesnot like its taste at all.
Now its time to start adding the spice quantities as mentioned in the pictures.
Add oil, this can be refine oil or olive oil. I am adding olive oil in this recipe.
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Add nutmeg powder or jaiphal powder, just 2 pinch. This is also totally optional as per the taste. It tastes good when added.
Mix all the ingredients well and keep in fridge to set for atleast 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes take out from fridge and grease your hand with oil and start making small balls out of the mixture.
Heat a pan without oil put the koftas one by one, donot overload. Add only 5-6 pieces as it might break. Keep the flame medium to high, cover and cook. Kofta balls will start releasing water …cook till the water is completely absorbed.
Heat oil in a pan, once hot add the kofta balls and deep fry it till it turns brown and aromatic.
Delicious Kofta balls are ready to serve. You can enjoy it with coriander or mint chutney or even add it to a curry.
