Tomato Chicken Bhuna
Tomato Chicken is one of my favourite recipe when I want the chicken to taste little tangy and spicy. Full of favours and delicious recipe. Easy to cook and less time consuming this recipe is surely worth a try.
Ingredients:
- Chicken 500 gms
- Onion medium size 1
- Tomato Big size 1
- Ginger Garlic paste 1 tsp
- Turmeric(haldi) 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder 1 tsp
- Green chillies 2-3
- Jeera powder 1 tsp
- Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- Water 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Bay leave 1
- green cardamom 2
- black cardamom 1
- Dalchini 1
- cloves 5
Preparation:
Step 1: Heat pan and add olive oil, add bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, dalchini.
Step 2: Add onion and cook till it turns golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste.
Step 3: Add Tomatoes and all spices and salt. Add little water, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Masala starts releasing oil, add chicken pieces. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 5: Saute for a while and add little water, cover and cook for another 20 minutes.
Step 6: Chicken starts releasing oil, add coriander leaves
Tomato chicken is ready to serve in 30 minutes of cooking. You can enjoy this recipe with plain roti, chapathis, paratha, Naan or Kulcha.

Step by Step Cooking:
Step 1: Heat a pan and add olive oil.
Step 2 : Add one Bay Leaf
Step 3: Add green cardamom 2
Step 4: Add Dalchini 1
Step 5: Add black cardamom 1
Step 6: Add Cloves 5
Step 7: Saute and add Finely chopped onions, cook till it turns translucent or golden brown
Step 8: Add ginger garlic paste and saute.
Step 9: Add tomatoes and mix well.
Step 10: Add the spices.Cumin(jeera) powder.
Pepper(golmirch) powder
Red chilli (lal mirch) powder
Turmeric (Haldi) powder
Salt (namak)
Garam Masala powder
Saute and add little water.
Step 11: Cover and cook in low to medium flame for 5 minutes
Step 12: After 5 mins you will see the masala starts relaesing oil.
Step 13: Start adding the chicken pieces.
Step 14: Cover and cook for 5 minutes the pieces will start releasing water.
Step 15: Add little more water.
Step 16: Add green chillies.
Step 17: Now cover and cook in low to medium flame foe almost 20 minutes or till the chicken is completely cooked.
Step 18: Chicken starts releasing oil.
Step 19: Add chopped coriander leaves to garnish(totally optional if you don’t like coriander or celery)
Step 20: your Tomato Bhuna Chicken is deliciously ready to serve with your choice of rotis.
