Chilli Chicken Dry

 


Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of chicken smothered in garlic, soy sauce and chilli gravy.


Ingredients:

For marination:

  • Chicken 500 gms
  • cornflour 2 tsp
  • Soya Sauce 1-2 Tbsp

For cooking:

  • Onion medium sized – 2
  • Spring Onions – 1
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Ginger and garlic chopped 1 Tbsp each
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • red chilli sauce 1 tbsp
  • green chilli sauce 1 tbsp
  • tomato sauce 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chillies 5-6

Preparation:
Step 1: Marinate chicken in soy sauce and cornflour for atleast 1 hour
Step 2: Deep fry the chicken and keep it aside
Step 3: Cut one onion in 4 halves and capsicum also big pieces. Fry them for 2 minutes and keep aside.
Step 4: In the oil add chopped ginger and garlic, add green chillies and one onion cut into thin slices.
Step 5: Add the fried onions and capsicum, spring onions and chicken and cook for 5 minutes in low to medium flame.
Step 6: Add salt, vinegar,soy sauce,red and green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and stir.
Step 7: Add the left over soy and cornflour mix and stir. Cover and cook for another 10 mins in low flame.

Your chilli chicken is ready to serve in 20 minutes of cooking.
Total preparion time 30-35 mins.
